Since 2006, the Bio-X International Academic Conference, founded by Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, has grown into a premier global event in interdisciplinary biotechnology. Driven by a mission to break down disciplinary silos and foster deep integration among academia, industry, and research, the conference has built a worldwide platform for advancing life sciences and engineering technologies.

Now, for the first time, Bio-X comes to Chengdu, China. Co-hosted by Sichuan University and the Sichuan Society for Microbiology, the Bio-X 2026 International Academic Annual Conference will take place from August 23 to 27, 2026, under the theme "Interdisciplinary Innovation, Future of Life."

  1. The registration fee covers conference venue and equipment rental, conference materials, and related expenses. Accommodation will be arranged uniformly during the conference; accommodation and meals are at participants' own expense.
  2. Accommodation: The registration fee does not include accommodation. As hotel rooms are limited during the peak travel season, participants are advised to book in advance. Venue

Jinniu Hotel

Jin Niu Hotel, first established in 1957, serves as a key official reception base and conference service center for the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee and the Sichuan Provincial Government. It is the primary venue for hosting visiting Chinese national leaders and foreign dignitaries, earning it the reputation of being Sichuan's "State Guest House." Over the years, the hotel has received foreign heads of state including Kim Il-sung, Norodom Sihanouk, and George H.W. Bush, and has witnessed numerous important historical events such as the Chengdu Conference, preparations for Sino-Soviet negotiations, the improvement of Sino-Vietnamese relations, and relief efforts following the Wenchuan earthquake. Covering an area of 730 mu (approximately 121 acres), the hotel comprises three main sections: Tianfu Tower, Ginkgo Village, and Shuxi Garden. Featuring a beautiful environment, unique architectural styles, elegant décor, and comprehensive service facilities, the hotel offers 760 guest rooms of various types, a grand hall capable of seating 1,000 people, and 62 meeting halls and rooms of varying sizes. It also houses 39 Chinese and Western-style multi-functional dining halls, one standard tennis court, one six-lane swimming pool, as well as supporting amenities including a fitness center, table tennis room, nursing room, and medical clinic.

      Tianfu International Airport: Take Line 18 to South Railway Station, transfer to Line 1 to Tianfu Square Station, then transfer to Line 2 and get off at Yingbin Avenue Station, Exit D. Walk 550 meters to Jinniu Hotel. Total travel time is about 100 minutes; fare is RMB 11.

      Shuangliu International Airport: Take Line 10 to Taipingyuan Station, transfer to Line 7 to Yipintianxia Station, then transfer to Line 2 and get off at Yingbin Avenue Station, Exit D. Walk 550 meters to Jinniu Hotel. Total travel time is about 57 minutes; fare is RMB 6.

    2. Taxi:

      Shuangliu International Airport: About 28 km from Jinniu Hotel; travel time about 53 minutes; fare about RMB 74.

      Tianfu International Airport: About 80 km from Jinniu Hotel; fare about RMB 220.

  2. Chengdu East Railway Station -> Jinniu Hotel:
    1. Metro:

      Walk to Chengdu East Railway Station and take Metro Line 2 (toward Xipu). Get off at Yingbin Avenue Station, Exit D, and walk 550 meters to Jinniu Hotel. (Total travel time about 50 minutes)

    2. Taxi:

      Chengdu East Railway Station is about 24 km from Jinniu Hotel. The trip takes about 40 minutes by taxi, with a fare of about RMB 48.
